FOR LAW FIRMS · 5–40 ATTORNEYS

Your next client calls after hours. Who answers?

AI intake for personal injury, family, criminal defense and immigration firms. It answers, screens, captures the names you need for a conflict check, and books the consult into your Clio Grow, Lawmatics, MyCase or Filevine calendar — telling every caller it's AI and never giving legal advice.

Integration depth with your practice-management software is confirmed on your Intake Review.

A NIGHT IN THE LIFE

What happens
after your office closes.

Illustrative Your scripts, screening questions and after-hours rules are written with you before go-live.

  1. 6:42 PM

A caller hurt in a car accident reaches your line. The AI says it is an AI assistant, asks your screening questions, takes the other driver's name for your conflict check, and books a consult for tomorrow morning.

  2. 9:15 PM

A web form arrives about a custody question. It replies within minutes, asks your intake questions, and offers consult times from your calendar.

  3. 11:58 PM

A caller says a family member was just arrested. It follows your after-hours rule for urgent criminal matters and routes the call to your on-call attorney.

  4. 1:20 AM

A caller asks whether their immigration case will be approved. It explains it cannot give legal advice and books a consult with an attorney instead.

  5. 8:00 AM

Your intake staff open the overnight summary. Every call and form is logged with notes and the names for the conflict check. Your team decides who to take on.

BOUNDARIES

What it will
never do.

Your lawyers keep every judgment call. The AI keeps the phone answered.

IT WILL NEVER

Cross the line into practicing law.

  • Give legal advice
  • Pretend to be human
  • Decide conflicts — it captures the names; your team runs the check
  • Send client updates without your approval
IT ALWAYS

Works inside rules your firm approves.

  • Tells every caller it's AI
  • Asks only the intake questions you approve
  • Routes urgent and upset callers to a person
  • Logs every call, form and action for your review

BAR ETHICS

Can a law firm use AI for intake?

Yes, with safeguards. Florida Bar Ethics Opinion 24-1 and ABA Formal Opinion 512 both allow lawyers to use AI when the safeguards are in place: the caller is told they are talking to AI, it gives no legal advice, client confidentiality is protected, and a lawyer supervises the work.

We build those safeguards into every intake team and document the data flow in writing. But the firm remains responsible for its own professional obligations — review both opinions with your ethics counsel before you go live.
